PLANT INFORMATION AND CULTIVATION
Acroclinium roseum (Syn. Helipterum roseum)  is a group of annual plants native to South America, Africa, Australia, and Tasmania.  Members of the Daisy family, Compositae, the name is derived from the Greek words helios (sun) and pteron (wing).  Also called Paper Daisies, bear blooms that retain their color and shape as they dry, thus the name 'everlasting' or Immortelle'.  They make excellent dried flowers for arrangements.

The plants are easily propagated by sowing seed.  FOR TRANSPLANTS: Sow seed in pots or trays. Keep moist at 70F.  Transplant seedlings when they reach 2 inches tall. Plant outdoors only when temperatures do not fall below 60F.  Space seedlings 6-12 inches apart each way.  DIRECT SOW:  Sow seed in prepared area planting 1 seed every 3 inches in rows 6-12 inches apart.  Thin seedlings to 1 plant every 6-12 inches
