Lavandula augustifolia English Lavender plant seeds
English Lavender - Lavandula augustifolia - Perennial - Culinary, Medicinal - Long, tapering grey-green leaves cover string stems which end in a profusion of sweet-smelling light purple flowers. A favorite for perfumes. Medicinally, lavender has been used to prevent giddiness, (thus Jane Austen's characters would call for the lavender water when they felt faint).

Lavender Hidcote Blue  Hidcote Blue - Lavandula angustifolia - Uniform dwarf habit with deep purple blooms and grey-green foliage.  The favorite old English type lavender.  Full sun; plant height: 12in.

Spanish Lavender French Long Lavender Lavandula stoechas  Spanish (French Long Lavender) Lavandula stoechas - A taller version with very narrow, slightly fuzzy grey-green leaves and dark voilet purple blooms.  Scent is a bit different from English lavenders in that it has a slight hint of camphor and rosemary.  Full sun; height: 3ft.
