Brassica oleracea.  Relatives of vegetable cabbage and kale, these types produce brightly colored leaves and make the perfect cold weather flowering plant.  Excellent for borders or bedding, the color only brightens with frost and remains until heavy freezing.  Plant in full sun in ordinary garden soil.
