Firethorn - Pyracantha lalandei - Species type.  Long woody trailing viny shrub with thorns.  Bears orange berries in the late summer that will remain through frost (if the birds don't get them first).  Good covering for fences or trellises and perfect as an espalier.  Hardy to -20F (-28.8C); height: 8ft.
